glamorous eyes

As some of you might know, I have a Certificate in MakeUp Artistry. I wasn't really interested in makeup until I met the beautiful (naks) Miss EJ, my wedding makeup artist. After that, I was hooked. I took classes in a beauty school in the city, and ta-daa! I can now work in the makeup industry.

After that, my personal and professional cosmetic collection kept growing. As in I spend a lot of moolah trying to find the perfect (for me) products out there. So far, I've only found the perfect mascara (more on that later). And so this is the first of what I know will be numerous posts about kikay stuff and product reviews.

Hmmm. If only I can find paying clients. Hehe. Most of my clients are my friends and I'm not that sikat to charge them. I'll post their pictures soon.

About the mascara. It's Loreal's Double Extensions Beauty Tubes. I say perfect because it does everything I want a mascara to do. It lengthens and thickens. It has a primer that protects and conditions the lashes and adds that extra oomph. The lashes look glamorous when you have it on. You'll look like a million dollars even though the mascara itself is inexpensive (read: drugstore brand). And best of all, It does not smear nor smudge AT ALL. My skin is oily and not one waterproof mascara out there saved me from panda eyes (I try to avoid waterproof formula nowadays as they tend to make the lashes brittle). But this... oh my, this has never let me down. :-)

melbourne cup preview

this is me in subtle race day fashion. i say subtle because even though i know i looked polished, i was nothing compared to the fashionistas in the VIP marquee of the melbourne cup preview. nevertheless, i'm happy eva and i went to the event. we got to drink champagne and eat gourmet food and ogle at what seemed like an ocean of handsome men and make okray the women. :-D
