Last Tuesday I woke up wishing I could see my two favourite players live at Rod Laver Arena. Must’ve been my lucky day. :-)
Jelena Dokic. The way the Australian public backed her up, even after she turned her back on them for a few years, is something quite amazing. She’s got this fiery fight face and super crazy eyes. I love her.
Roger Federer. Is, always has been, always will be the greatest tennis player EVER. I saw him demolish Del Potro in the quarterfinals. Our group felt so bad for the guy, we gave him “pity cheers”. Fed has the unique talent to make tennis look magnificent.. He took off his shirt in between sets, and I wolf-whistled like crazy. Cherry had to wipe the drool off her face. HAHA.

The Nadal-Verdasco semifinal is hands-down the best tennis I’ve seen. I’ll know in a few minutes who’ll win (currently it’s at 2-2 on the fifth set), but I hope the finals will be just as good. :-)

boy cut, almost
Yesterday was a freaking hot day. My iPhone weather app said it’ll be 28C max but boy, was it wrong! It reached 41C sometime in the afternoon. And oddly enough, it made my hair poof up, so I decided to go to my suki Korean hair salon. I always have my hair cut by the wonderful Jang Hee (a woman, contrary to popular belief). She is the only one there who could understand my English perfectly, or maybe she just pretends she does, but my hair always turns out looking really good.
Alas, Jang Hee was booked, so I got my hair cut by someone else. For those of you who have lived with me, you’d know that once the thought of a haircut crossed my mind, I would not stop yakking about it until I’d had one. I told the guy I wanted my hair shorter and thinner with lots of layers. And he did what I asked, only it was a LOT shorter than I wanted. I was kind of shocked. I didn’t wear my glasses while he was doing my hair so everything to me was a haze. I will not post pictures, not yet, lest you want to see how ginormous my face is. Suffice to say, my friend George wouldn’t like it: the back of my neck was shaved.
Lesson learned: let no one touch the hair except Jang Hee.
And until my hair grows, I have to keep wearing girly clothes. The boobs might tip them off, but I really really wouldn't want to be mistaken for a lumpy boy.
